Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Track Money (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the Track Money mobile application and related website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
Track Money is a personal finance app designed to help you track expenses, income, budgets, savings goals, lending, and AI-powered insights. The marketing website at trackmoneyapp.com provides product information and download links only—it does not require an account.

2. Information we collect
Account information
When you register or sign in, we may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Password (stored in hashed form), or Google account identifiers if you use Google sign-in
- Email verification status and related one-time codes
Financial information you create
To provide the core product, we store data you enter in the app, such as:
- Transactions (amounts, categories, dates, payment methods, merchants, notes, tags)
- Categories you create
- Budgets and savings goals
- Contacts and loan / borrow records (including names and phone numbers you save)
- Preferences (currency, timezone, default payment method)
Device contacts (optional)
If you use “Import from phone,” the app may request access to your device contacts so you can select a contact. We only store the name and phone number you choose to save as a Track Money contact. We do not upload your full address book.
Technical information
Servers may automatically process limited technical data needed to operate the API securely (for example, authentication tokens, timestamps, and standard request logs). We do not use the marketing website to run invasive advertising trackers as part of the core product experience described here.
3. How we use information
We use your information to:
- Create and secure your account
- Sync and display your finance data in the app
- Send email verification codes
- Generate dashboards, reports, budgets, goals, and lending summaries
- Power AI insights and recommendations based on your financial activity (when you use those features)
- Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and provide support
- Comply with legal obligations
4. AI features
Track Money can generate weekly reports, monthly reports, and recommendations. To do this, relevant portions of your financial data (such as spending summaries and transaction patterns) may be processed by an AI service provider under our instructions. We use this processing to return insights to you—not to sell your data.
You can choose not to use AI features; core expense tracking remains available without them.
5. Google sign-in
If Google sign-in is enabled for the Service, you may authenticate using Google. In that case we receive information such as your Google account ID, name, and email (subject to Google’s permissions and your Google settings). Google’s own privacy policy applies to Google’s processing.
6. How we share information
We may share information only with:
- Service providers who help us run the Service (for example hosting, email delivery, and AI processing), under obligations to protect your data
- Legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
- Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with appropriate notice where required
We do not sell your personal information.
7. Retention
We retain your account and finance data while your account is active. If you delete your account from the app, we delete or anonymize associated personal and finance data from active systems, except where we must retain limited records for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance (for example, short-lived server logs).
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and token-based API authentication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep your device updated.
9. Your choices
- Update profile and preferences in the app
- Resend or complete email verification
- Control whether you import phone contacts
- Hide amounts on the dashboard for on-device privacy
- Delete your account in app settings
For access or deletion requests, contact trackmoneyai@gmail.com.
10. Children’s privacy
Track Money is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. International processing
Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. Where we transfer data, we take steps appropriate to the Service’s scale to protect it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, when changes are material, provide additional notice in the app or on this website when appropriate.
